The real deal @ Taqueria Coahuila

A special tip of the hat to you if you show up on this night. This isn't the most attractive place, and its located in a neighborhood that leaves a lot to be desired, but to me its what The World Says Eat Me is all about. This is working folks making cheap and tasty food for other working folks. This taqureia offers the usual tacos, quesidillas, burritos, and sopes but with a wider selection of meat offerings. You can choose Asada (Steak), Pollo (Chicken), Tripa (tripe), Lengua (tongue) Pastor (pork), Molida (ground beef), Suadero (brisket), Chorizo (sausage), Barbacoa (barbecued beef), and Chicarone (fried pork rind).  A highlight is their sopes (soh pays) which are thick corn flour patties covered with meat, lettuce, cheese, and a touch of sour cream. The freshly mashed guacamole is a nice treat too. To wash it down they have the usual offering of Jarritos soft drinks and a tasty horchatta.
